Dr. Slam was recently named the Cancer Liaison Physician (CLP) for the Mount Carmel Health System. The CLP serves in a leadership role for the Health System in terms of oversight, evaluation, interpretation, and reporting of cancer outcomes for the system to the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer (ACS-CoC). This accreditation ensures patients are receiving the most up-to-date cancer care available. Dr. Slam humbly accepted this position after the untimely passing of Phillip Price, MD, FACS, who previously assumed this role for the health system from 2011 until 2014.
